About the Event
For many, joy doesn’t come easily around the holidays. When the weight of bills, illness, or grief presses down, even simple celebrations can feel out of reach. That’s where Eat Share’s Joy & Comfort Basket Drive comes in.
Each basket donated this year was a gesture of care—a way to share the foods, treats, games, and cozy comforts that make our own holidays bright. Together, volunteers, donors, and elves filled four cars and delivered thoughtfully curated baskets and grocery gift cards to 15 families (totaling 26 adults + 41 kids). These baskets became something larger: a collective reminder that joy is meant to be shared, and that comfort grows when it’s given freely.
In the words of one family who received a basket: "You are all absolutely AMAZING! Thank you so much for everything!"
